What the Inspection Does—and Doesn’t—Cover

Limited operational checks

Where safe and appropriate, accessible light switches, taps, wastes, toilets, showers, doors and windows may be operated. Cabinet doors and drawers may be operated on a representative basis.

Power outlets receive visual inspection only, with no plug-in electrical testing.

Specialist systems

Obvious solar systems, batteries, generators, LPG, greywater systems, composting toilets and similar systems may be noted.

Their condition, operation, performance, safety and compliance are not assessed. Specialist advice may be recommended.
